Ashton Griffin: Made the first hit of the day.Unknown player Isildur1 was back at Full Tilt’s high-stakes tables yesterday, only this time he found himself sitting across from some of the best online players in the world.

His attempt at repeating Thursday’s winning session began to fail miserably right out of the gate.

The first player Isildur1 sat with was Ashton “theASHMAN103″ Griffin at a heads up $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em. The players got it all in on the second hand dealt, Isildur1′s pocket fives unable to crack Griffin’s pocket aces.

Two hands and $40,000 in losses later, Isildur1 logged off for a short break. He returned to the tables just an hour later to take a heads-up seat across from Full Tilt pro Brian Hastings.

Apparently Isildur1 should have taken some more time off, as Hastings destroyed him over a 3,000 hand heads-up session. They started at $200/$400 No-Limit where Hastings won over $135k across 2,400 hands.

Then, perhaps in an attempt to get unstuck, Isildur1 and Hastings left the $200/$400 tables to continue their battle at the $300/$600 No-Limit tables instead. At the higher stakes, Hastings managed to win another $131k in just 600 hands.

After another short break, Isildur1 returned to the $300/$600 heads up tables once-more, this time to play online professional THENUTHUNTER. It took just 178 hands for THENUTHUNTER to beat Isildur1 out of yet another $106k.

Near the end of his losing session against THENUTHUNTER, Isildur1 sat at the highest No-Limit stakes online, playing heads up $500/$1,000 against Patrik Antonius. Surprisingly, this 70 hand battle was the only heads-up match where Isildur1 actually made any money.

Unfortunately for him, Antonius was only willing to part with $23k, barely a dent in the massive losses posted earlier in the day.

Hastings had a great read.

An action board.

THENUTHUNTER drags a pot.
