Team PokerStrategy.com member Daniel ‘Allanon’ Drescher had a good Day 2 and finished the day with the 12th largest chip stack. Jonathan Little and Fabstinho also remain in the hunt.

221 players on Day 2 of WPT Bellagio Cup V, and 93 players remain at the end of second play day. Alec Torelli held on to his chip lead from Day 1B and will go into Day 3 with 590,200 chips. He is followed closely by Faraz Jaka and Vivek Rajkumar who have 519,300 and 494,400 chips respectively.

Many big name pros still remain in the hunt after an intense Day 2. Among them are Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Freddy Deeb, Phil Hellmuth, Erik Seidel and Erik Lindgren. ElkY is poised for a good start on Day 3 with his 355,400 chips, while Hellmuth is just below the average chip count of 174,782.

Alec Torelli grabbed the chip lead late in the day as he eliminated Danny Wong. With a board showing , Danny Wong led out for 28,000. Torelli then raised it up to 85,000 and Wong quickly moved all-in. Without much hesitation, Torelli called and showed for a set but Wong’s gave him a straight and the lead. The river came , giving Torelli the full house and moving him into serious contention for his first WPT cash.

Jonathan Little and Allanon Survive Day 2

JonathanLittle (pictured left) had an interesting day at the tables. He finished the day with 153,000 chips, giving him 51 big blinds at the start of Day 3. In his latest blog entry, he described a hand with Justin "Boosted J" Smith. Smith raised under the gun, and Little called on the button with 22. The flop came, and Jonathan raised it up to 20,000 after an initial bet of 7,000 from Smith.

Smith went into the tank before 3-betting it to 37,000. Jonathan, figuring he had the best hand with re-draws to a backdoor flush decided to just call. The turn came , and Little went all-in. Smith took a long time before calling, but mucked his cards immediately after Jonathan showed his set. Smith revealed later that he was calling with just K-high.

A member of Team PokerStrategy.com, Daniel Allanon Drescher  (pictured right) also had a good day at the tables. In Day 1B, he hit a straight flush against Sam Farha early on in just the second level of play. He carried his fine form into Day 2 and finished the day with a very healthy chip stack of 311,100 chips. This puts him in 12th place on the overall standings.

Another Poker-Strategist, Fabian fabstinho Quoss also managed to get through Day 2. He finished the day with 124,400 chips.
