Online Poker Room and Poker Tournaments - Carbon Poker

With the durrrr Challenge on hold and games at $500/$1,000 sporadic at best, online railbirds have been scrambling to find some noteworthy high-stakes action lately.

Enter online giants Ilari “ziigmund” Sahamies and Cole South, who stepped in today and fired up a pre-noon, multi-table $100/$200 PLO session at Full Tilt to fill the void.

The result? Four of the five biggest pots online so far today, with several near-$100k pots changing hands.

Typically, a professional poker player will only sit at a table if they feel they have an edge on the game, which makes this match up very interesting.

It’s hard to argue South has an edge against ziigmund, but the amount of money and action on a $100/$200 table is five times lower than that of ziigmund’s regular game, so it most likely affects his game/willingness to gamble.

Even though South looks to have finished the session down around $50k, he did manage to win his share of large pots, including their largest pot of the session worth just under $89k
